The streaming platform is comprised of individual software components that run on the server and client. By cooperating together performance is achieved that is equal to that of locally installed applications.
The process begins by encoding a retail ready application. ISVs do not need to build their applications for our platform. The encoding process is automatic and does not require a technician to profile it. Once encoded, it is loaded to our streaming servers hosted at SAVVIS. Through special encoding, each application delivered on our platform is pushed to the edge of the Internet, enabling rapid, multipoint delivery to the user.
Predictive delivery has the intelligence to watch how each application is used and modify the sequence in which individual blocks of the application are delivered, to achieve optimum performance. Our player supports Windows XP / Vista operating systems as well as Windows Embedded. Other operating systems are in progress to expand our footprint to a wide variety of hardware platforms a business would deploy.
Our licensing system is dynamic and allows the ISV to choose how they want the licensing to be handled, whether it is per Mac address, per concurrent stream, number of installs and more.
