Released: 03 February 2003
Set in the 24th century, you play John Dalton, a Marshal for the Terran Colonial Authority (TCA), patrolling the universe in your starship Atlantis. Political turmoil is the backdrop to various excursions in a wide variety of environments. The story is revealed through briefings, cutscenes, in-game dialogue, and the action contained in the missions themselves.
Missions take place in the dense jungle of a tropical planet, in the ancient ruins of an alien city, deep underground in a warren of tunnels, on the molten surface of a hellish volcanic world, in the bowels of an alien industrial facility, in the endless oceans of a water-bound world, and on board an enemy starship. There are 13 unique settings, each with its own distinct look and production design.
